Pioneering a boutique concept that disrupts the fitness industry, 1Rebel's gyms embrace a raw and industrial aesthetic, utilizing the shell and core as integral brand elements. With a commitment to authenticity, the design aims to expose all finishes in their true, unadorned nature.

Combining elements of Performance and Theater to curate a distinctive workout ambiance and elevate ancillary areas, 1Rebel employs cubic framed structures, powerful lighting, and enhanced materiality. The gym features a state-of-the-art open gym space and two acoustic boxes, serving as focal points in an eight-meter cathedral space. These innovative cubes host instructed classes, such as Reshape and Ride, and are equipped with visionary lighting and a modern audio system, creating a dynamic and unparalleled experience for members.

In the role of Lead Design Consultants, AAID played a pivotal role in bringing this revolutionary gym concept to life. Addressing challenges in acoustics and specialized lighting for the open gym and workout studios (Ride and Reshape), along with collaborating closely with the landlord to shape the facade, AAID has been instrumental in realizing the vision of 1Rebel in the heart of ICD Brookfield Place.
