Stuart Allen

With over 30 years of international design experience, Stuart Allen is the Founder and Managing Director of AAID, leading the studio across workplace, hospitality, residential, F&B and lifestyle projects throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the wider GCC. Born in the UK, educated in Texas and shaped by his early career in New York, Stuart brings a global perspective informed by more than 15 years of working in the Middle East.

‍

After moving to Dubai in 2010 to lead an interior design and architectural practice, Stuart acquired and rebranded the studio in 2015 as Allen Architecture Interiors Design. Since then, he has guided AAID’s continued growth, building long-standing relationships with international brands, regional clients and developers.

‍

Stuart remains closely involved in the creative and technical direction of the studio’s work, with a strong focus on design quality, commercial awareness and successful delivery. His approach is collaborative and hands-on, grounded in understanding each client, context and end user rather than applying a fixed design signature. He is equally passionate about mentoring designers and developing the capabilities of the wider team, fostering a studio culture built around creativity, accountability and shared ambition.
